Titebond III is the exclusive glue that I recommend for all my portable boat designs. I have personally used it in some pretty harsh situations, and have had no structural failures as a result of its use. However, certain habits should be exercised to insure long term safe boating. When finishing the boat, always use a water sealer and a finish that is marine acceptable. Also, do not leave a plywood boat in the water for extended periods of time, as the wood will absorb moisture, and joints eventually will fail. Dry-beach the boat when finished cruising, and inspect for surface irregularities. If problems are found, repair them immediately. Make safe boating your mantra.
